Our Story

Continuing a Little Falls Tradition

Michelle Hansen was born and raised in the restaurant business; her family has owned Dopp’s Inn, located in Dolgeville, since 1979 where her mother is the chef. Peeling vegetables when she was five, Michelle learned many skills and decided to attend culinary school at 17. After graduating, she worked locally at the Overlook Mansion as a sous chef until 2001 before joining Ann Street Restaurant and Deli.

Michelle took ownership of Ann Street Deli from Grace and Manny Klutschkowski in 2003 after being an employee of the establishment since 2001.  At only 22, she was running her own restaurant, but it was in her blood. She was continuing the tradition and legacy that started with the Klutschkowski family and is forever grateful for the opportunity.

20 years later, Michelle and her amazing staff continue to serve up a full menu of breakfast and lunch options 7 days a week. Catering is also available.  From customer favorites like home fries, the Mediterranean turkey sandwich, macaroni salad and homemade peanut butter fudge pie, they specialize in simple, delicious homestyle meals in a friendly, community atmosphere.
